Golf Courses

Briarwood Golf Course. Briarwood Golf Course features small greens that are in prime condition and water in play on several holes. Locals say that people should come to Baton Rouge if you want to relax, play golf and eat good Southern food. Stephan Kay redesigned two holes in 1987. For more information, call 225-753-1989.

City Park Golf Course. City Park is a hilly, 9-hole public golf course that's open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. until dark on weekdays and 6 a.m. until dark on weekends. Clark Park Golf Course. Clark Park is a 9-hole course open seven days a week from 7 a.m. until dark on weekdays and 6 a.m. until dark on weekends. The newly renovated Baton Rouge course features a lighted driving range. First Tee of East Baton Rouge, also located in this facility, runs a number of clinics and junior programs during the summers. Carter Plantation Golf Course. Carter Plantation Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-72, 7,000 plus-yard course, the first golf course to be designed by PGA champion and LSU All-American David Toms. The golf and residential community features 63 rooms and suites situated in nine separate villas, a swimming pool, a fitness center, a full-service spa, walking trails and birding and wetland study areas. Emerald Hills Resort. Set among rustic splendor in the serene woodlands of Kisatchie National Forest , Emerald Hills Resort provides a relaxing yet exciting retreat for business and pleasure. The 18-hole championship golf course features manicured greens and lush fairways for challenging and exciting rounds. LSU Golf Course. Located 3 miles from downtown Baton Rouge on a 250-acre setting adjacent to LSU, this 18-hole links style course features 419 Bermuda fairways and tif-eagle greens. The facility features a 30 station, lighted driving range, a lighted 9-hole pitch and putt course, a fully-stocked pro shop that specializes in custom club fitting, and locker rooms and showers. PGA instructors are on hand for lessons and pointers. Free wi-fi service is available in the pro shop and on the course. Hours of operation are from 6am - 9pm, 7 days a week. Pelican Point Club. Pelican Point offers an unmatched British-style links golf experience in Southwest Louisiana . The ideal location near Baton Rouge , combined with the prime condition of two championship courses, make Pelican Point the area's most popular golf destination.
